Hello again
On Monday 24th April we found ourselves in the Business Day again. Just in case you missed the article that appeared in the Management Review section, I have included it below:
Ka-Ching! Put your kids to work
IF YOU'RE an advocate of the "never too young to learn" theory, you're probably already a member of the Business Parenting Institute.
Ideal for parents who want their kids to amount to something - and pretty quickly - the institute's latest initiative is to teach children how to run their own small businesses by putting their pocket money to work.

The Ka-Ching! Business Parenting course, which was launched in SA this year and teaches them to budget, save and invest, is for children between six and 16.
In some families the children are not only saving their pocket money, but putting it to good use. One eight-year-old has started a successful small business growing palm trees. He now understands the importance of investing in an income-generating asset, rather than buying sweets and comics.
The course was created by Midge Hilton-Green, the headmaster of Bishops Prep School, and MBA graduate Gregory Bunyard, Business Parenting Institute CEO.
They say it gives parents the tools to help their children become competent speakers, effective thinkers, practical entrepreneurs and problem solvers.
"For far too long we have been relying solely on educational institutions to equip our children with the essential skills they need to ensure their futures. It is time for parents to realise that they can add so much more in ensuring their child has a fun, rewarding and successful time at school as well as in life after school," the institute says.
So far Ka-Ching! has been tested by 60 families. Some schools have also expressed an interest in incorporating it into their lessons. The course is also backed by the Shuttleworth Foundation, founded by entrepreneur Mark Shuttleworth.
