"I think that the greatest amount of time needed, is to read through the manual so as to get a good feel of where one is going and why! This having been done (and it would take a few hours initially) it is very easy to implement the pocket money programme. Once again, initial reading and discussion with one's child takes a little time, but once the budget is agreed to, the regular follow up each week is coped with in a matter of minutes but the value of discussions surrounding allowances, wish lists and savings is enormously valuable and is a great substitute for discussions surrounding the efforts and results of our nation's sports teams.
"There is an enormous amount of information in your manual and it has been worthwhile referring back to various sections from time to time. This is not a simple "once off" read, but there is no schedule for the parents work to be done. On the contrary, as you get into the swing of things, it requires very little effort, much common sense and the guidelines that you provide. "The business sections, initially require very little preparation and my initial perception of "not being able to find the time" to "teach my children another subject" was totally incorrect. "As a matter of course my conversation with my children of ten refers back to issues of money, earnings, investments, advertising and similar issues. They show a keener interest than ever before in these topics because they are themselves involved in them through the Ka-Ching! course. "The manual and workbook at first sight seems a little daunting, but that is because of the wealth of advice and information therein. In actual fact, the implementation of the course is far easier than I expected it to be. Not being a "business man" I thought that I would struggle but this was not the case and the new Introductory CD that you developed summarizes the whole idea and puts everything into perspective. "There is so much provided that it is unlikely that I will ever cover it all, but that's OK because what it has already done has been to stimulate interest in the world of finance and a greater understanding of teamwork and family relationships.
