As promised last week, I wanted to update you on my outrageous statement that you could quite easily AT WORST be paying nothing for the Ka-Ching! Business Parenting course. At best, well I don't want to promise anything, other than to say that this type of technology is what made Amazon such a household name.

In essence, you refer people to the Ka-Ching! website in exchange for a commission on every qualified sale you produce. That usually means adding a link (encoded with your own unique ID number) from your e-mail message to our site, which tracks how many sales you are responsible for.

Let's say you know some people who would be interested in Ka-Ching!

You quite simply send an email like this to your friend Frank,

..it's really that easy. Ok yes, if you really want to grasp the power of the Internet, we give you all sorts of other promotional tools (banners, text links, classified ads, product images, presentations etc. etc.) and advice of how to make a real business out of this.

Did I mention that there is absolutely no cost to you, and the commissions we pay are really juicy and will encourage you to get involved. Oh yes, and you would also be making a positive impact on children all over the world.

Before our imminent launch, I have one last fight. My accountant doesn't want me to set the commissions where I am giving away more than I make. It shouldn't take too long to convince him though; hopefully he will see my point of view!

Growing numbers of Schools using Ka-Ching!

To add tremendous experience to the Ka-Ching! Schools Intervention initiative, we are very excited to announce a new member to our board of advisors. Jacqueline (Jackie) Taylor has been included on the panel as Curriculum Advisor. Initially her focus will be to help schools understand exactly what outcomes the course covers. This very important task will help satisfy the requirements of the revised national curriculum statement from the Department of Education. We are very excited to be working with someone with such wonderful passion and experience. Thanks Jacks!

By adding additional material to the Ka-Ching! Business Parenting course, we are now able to introduce Ka-Ching! into the classroom environment. We are very pleased to announce the addition of the following schools to the growing list:

Broadhurst Primary School, Gaborone, Botswana - where Tim and Robyn Jackson are running a Ka-Ching! Club with 26 eager young Entrepreneurs

The King's School Linbro Park, Johannesburg - where the headmaster, Bob Fuller sees the merit of ensuring his learners are even better equipped at handling the financial challenges in life after school.

The Lighthouse Centre of Learning, Bellville, Cape Town - where over a year ago, Keith and Suritha Kaminsky, were the first to embrace Ka-Ching! in their extraordinary school in Bellville.

Mkasanga School, South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. - where Carol Coppinger of Remote Africa Safaris is involved in sterling work with this local school.

In the very near future we will announce the addition of other great schools that choose to embrace the Ka-Ching! philosophy.

Here is an email I received from a parent who's son missed out on basic financial and business education at school. I am repeating it because I think it speaks volumes:


Case study: "Hi Greg, I think I mentioned to you that my son is 23 years of age, did nothing with the study I paid for at Cape Tech, I made him leave home and he waitered and hardly managed to support himself doing it. Anyway he hit rock bottom and I gave him one last chance to move back home and make good. He is working at Standard Bank as a casual teller now and has a contract until end August. I am thrilled that he is settled and is taking care of himself but as he is earning so very little (R17 an hour!), he cannot even contemplate moving out poor guy. He keeps trying to think of ways to go into business for himself and I keep having the feeling that he just might get an idea of how to go about it from Ka-Ching! so that the picture is not so onerous. I just wish that at school they had been given a course like you have to offer instead of some of the worthless subjects they seem to do!
