Our first offering, The Ka-Ching! Business Parenting Course, is a structured yet flexible programme designed to assist parents in ensuring their children's future success and happiness. It focuses on two main areas:
- Providing children with the necessary knowledge, skills and characteristics to achieve success in later life.
- Producing a bond of love, respect and understanding between parents and children through positive interaction.
The course is essentially a clear and practical step-by-step guide, which positively involves parents with their children - as partners. Children between the ages of 6 and 14 will derive the maximum benefit from the course and parents don't need to have any specialist knowledge of business.
The basis of The Ka-Ching! Business Parenting Course consists of a wide variety of realistic business projects, which parents and children take on together. In the process of carrying out the various projects, children acquire the critical business, financial and supporting skills, knowledge and characteristics in an enjoyable and challenging environment.

THE COURSE STRUCTURE

The Ka-Ching! Business Parenting Course consists of an explanatory document, which emphasizes the need for this course and encourages parents to participate, and a comprehensive manual and workbook that details the various projects and the development of the important skills and characteristics as well as providing access to further resources.
Additional course support, ongoing motivation, regular newsletters and revisions to the manual and workbook are provided in the Ka-Ching! Resources section of this website.
The manual and workbook are distributed in hard copy format, and once you become a registered member of the Ka-Ching! Community, support material will be available electronically via your dedicated website and accessed free of charge.
The compilers and publishers of The Ka-Ching! Business Parenting Course are however fully aware of the critical need for all these skills among members of underprivileged societies, both in Southern Africa and in many other parts of the world. Provision has been made for the publication of all the elements of the course in a variety of electronic and printed formats as well as completely free distribution into deserving communities, as funding becomes available.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE COURSE

The course is based on sound educational principles and concepts that have been developed and tested over many years.
The Ka-Ching! Business Parenting Course concept is the brainchild of Greg Bunyard. Bunyard researched and developed his ideas through books, websites and financial awareness courses as well as his own experiences.
He is particularly grateful for the invaluable advice provided by Midge Hilton-Green, presently headmaster of Bishops Preparatory School in Cape Town, South Africa, as well as Jason Bantjes, currently the School Counselor at Bishops College in Cape Town; the Chief Examiner for Economics with the Independent Examinations Board; and a part-time lecturer in Cognitive Psychology in the Department of Psychology at UNISA's Western Cape Learning Centre.
